It is with a heavy heart that we mourn the passing of Ellie Thober, a dear friend, pastoral partner, leader, and inspiration to many. Ellie was a remarkable individual who touched the lives of countless people through her roles as a loving wife, devoted mother, compassionate pastor, and cherished friend.
Throughout her career, Ellie served as a pastor in Episcopal Churches, making a profound impact on communities in North Platte and Columbus. Her dedication and unwavering support were evident in her commitment to her congregations, always being there when needed and offering valuable guidance and counsel. Upon her retirement in the Omaha area, Ellie continued to be a beacon of grace and friendship to all who knew her. Her warm presence and wise leadership will be deeply missed. We extend our deepest sympathies to Ellie's family and loved ones during this difficult time. May her memory be a source of comfort and inspiration to all whose lives she touched. We will miss you Ellie, Pastor Patrick, Debbie, Glen, Jen, Jeffrey, Wade and all the Covenant of Grace staff and church family.

Last weekend's service from Pastor Vossen's Shepherd Group from South Omaha is available on audio. We trust that God will minister to you in a special way through His Word.
This is the recorded audio portion of pastor's message at Covenant of Grace Ministry & Fellowship. It is on " The Enabling Work Of The Holy Spirit. " We trust you will be encouraged by God's Word.
The lesson plan for this past weekend is attached to this post, as well as additional notes used by Pastor Vossen for the lesson. The additional notes go into more detail about John 6, Acts 1 and 2 Timothy 2. Here is the second part of that chapter study from Philip Keller's book. One of our quarterly studies is always derived from the Shepherd Series, which is a resource that Covenant members are encouraged to engage in throughout their spiritual journey. It helps the believer understand and enjoy their relationship with God. This two-part study is based on one chapter in Philip Keller's book, "A Shepherd Looks At The Good Shepherd." This chapter is one of my favorite chapters in all of his books. You will be blessed if you meditate upon it. Grace, Pastor Vossen Here is our latest message from our pastor this past weekend at Covenant of Grace.
It was preached on August 13th. Here are the sermon notes of Pastor Vossen for the message. |
