Laying The Foundations Course
Feb 2nd, 2019
We have added another part to our two foundational course series of lessons we undertake at Covenant of Grace. First, we have our Foundations course, then our Covenant Worldview, and now this latest on Laying Foundations which is more or less a more practical guide. This course allows us to go much farther than we have before in these series of lessons. For now we are forced to really consider a deeper working knowledge of Kingdom Principles, I hope all who are undertaking this course are enjoying it. We have over 30 folks currently studying in this group.
December Notes To Remember.
December 12th, 2018
Next month at our Gathering we will formally be installing The Craft family as our new Administrative Coordinators for the ministry of Covenant of Grace Ministry and Fellowship. They will be acting in my place in many areas as did Skip and Mary, and will do a fabulous job in strengthening, helping and assisting the work of God. We will be posting updates on our website later this week at cgmfinc.com.
The last few weeks with all the snow has seen us with a lot of disrupted Neighborhood Groups, meetings, etc.. Yet, its Omaha, Lincoln and North Platte, Nebraska. What else do we expect? ROFL. Thanks for being flexible and patient. If you need assistance in any way to meetings, please don't hesitate to call the office. Blessings to all.
CGMF Leadership Changes and Adjustments.
November 20th, 2018
Our Shepherd Leaders and I, want to apologize for how long it has taken for us to place new leaders in various positions of the ministry. We knew in July we would have various folks stepping down and it has been a long process of change. Since the ministries inception or just a few years afterwards. The same leadership has been in place, and we were just moving forward quite easily. However, change comes and it has for us at CGMF.
Our Shepherd Neighborhood groups in Grand Island and Kearney have started their own works, but will indeed fellowship with us in our Gathering services I have been told. I appreciate those who have served, and we love the many believers who have come to Christ in those groups. God has a new challenge for them in the days to come.
CGMF is a bit more scattered as our North Platte Neighborhood Groups now have to go to Lincoln as its closest source of fellowship. However, that is our oldest series of Neighborhood Groups, so I have all the confidence in the world in its progress and growth. Barry and Stephanie will be our new new leaders for that area, and Shaun continues to work as our Secretary for CGMF. He formerly will step down in March from that position, but has temporarily agreed to stay on for awhile.
The Rodriguez family from Omaha will be our new Ministers of Music. They will organize our music for our monthly Gathering
services, or special services. I believe they will do a fabulous job.
After two or three temporary fill ins. We have finally agreed upon Steve and Cecilia Craft as our new Administrative Coordinators for CGMF statewide. They will work closely with me and the Shepherd Leaders in the months to come. They will be visiting Lincoln and North Platte's groups in the next month or two. Giving you all the support and encouragement they can. The Crafts are graduates of Emmaus Bible College in Dubuque, Iowa. They have spent four years as assistant pastors at Jimmy Harris's church in the Kansas City area, and have pastored there for the most part after Jimmy's death. Jimmy blest our church many times and we miss him greatly.
They are making transition like us, and the Craft's have come here to Omaha to assist us in the ministry. Both now have taken secular jobs in the Omaha area. They will be a great blessing, and I know our young people will enjoy their ministry a lot.
Other areas we are working on. Keep the ministry in your thoughts and prayers.
In His Grace,
Founding Pastor Patrick Vossen
September 26th, 2018
CGMF's Prayerline message will now be a once a week word of edification from our founding pastor. This has become necessary for the Conference system we utilize no longer allows us to upload an mp3 file for the message. It has to be done daily via a live message, and that makes it quite difficult at this time. Sorry for this, but the is the only way we can continue this part of the ministry at this time.
To listen in call the CGMF Prayerline at 712-432-8399 and use the Conference number 584684. Then hold to be placed in conference and the message will play.
Times Are Changing At CGMF.
I know, Lord, that our lives
are not our own,
that we’re not able to direct our paths.
Jeremiah 10:23 CEB
As the Prophet has written, it is not we who direct the paths of men but God. Our ministry here at CGMF, my life, your life, it is seemingly in our hand, but ultimately is in the hands of the Lord. His direction is of the primary importance, and His changes are for our benefit. Whether we are comfortable with those changes or not. We are facing such changes at CGMF after so many years, by the departure of some of our esteemed leadership for various reasons. Now the changes coming are natural ones, and are good in many ways, but will be uncomfortable for us in others. I as well the other Shepherd Leaders must be praying and looking for those who can stand in the gap, and be used to take up the mantle of those who have faithfully served for so many years.
We have three wonderful couples and one extraordinary young man who will be leaving our ministry soon. First, we have Skip and Mary our Spiritual Coordinators who basically are the ones who take care of daily ministry. Who have been visiting, leading and assisting this ministry for 8 years. They have for the past 5 years basically been " pastoring " in my stead as I have been more of a director and teacher of the ministry. They have traveled back and forth from North Platte to Omaha meeting, guiding and assisting all our CGMF Shepherd Leaders and Groups so wonderfully, They will be missed terribly. However, retirement calls and a move to warmer climates. I want to personally thank Skip and Mary for making my life so blest, and the ministry a joy in so many ways. You guys will be sorely missed.
Unfortunately, we will be losing Jeff Hughes and his dear wife as well. They will be leaving to Tulsa, Oklahoma and teaching at ORU, in addition to attending and serving at Church On The Move. I pray they will greatly be used of God. Jeff and his dear wife have been in charge of carrying out the discipleship portion of the ministry I put in place here at CGMF. Their work especially among our young people will be hard to replace. Thanks Brother and Sister Hughes for your gracious service to this Founding Shepherd.
Then there are Garcia's. What can I say about this exciting couple who led our diverse group of personalities in our outreach ministry. Their work with organizing our Gatherings Music program and evangelism was outstanding. For family reasons they are moving back to Texas and working in a church in the San Antonio area. I trust and pray God will use them greatly for His cause.
Finally I have tentative resignation from Brother Baker as well. This dear friend has stood with me in starting this ministry from the beginning, and has kept us almost totally debt free for years. I no doubt know to many he has been a pain in butt with his frugality. However, 99% of the time he has been right! His practicality and faith has seen us through so many things. Thanks my dear friend for helping me both start and expand this ministry. Sometimes with just seemingly no resources to use, but somehow God always has provided. Again, your integrity and faithfulness is a testimony to us all.
All this being said I am betwixt. We have some big shoes to fill, and I am wondering whom God is going to use to fill them. Be praying for us Shepherd Leaders in our consideration for the future, and how to proceed under the direction of the Lord.
I will say we might look outside the church for the first time for those who might take some of these positions. Now we have never done that and everyone has " grown up " into their ministries in the past. Nevertheless, we are considering it and laying it all at the feet of the Lord
God bless the entire CGMF family. Love you all so much.
In His Grace,
Founding Pastor, Patrick Vossen
Relief Is On The Way
Acts 3:20 CEB
20 Then the Lord will provide a season of relief from the distress of this age and he will send Jesus, whom he handpicked to be your Christ.
After a long winter we are finally embracing warmer weather. I know for many of us we thought it would never come, and there are times in our lives when it seems relief will never come. However, if we are faithful and never give up. God has a way of turning our distress into hope as He who has been handpicked for redemption's work ministers in our lives.
For many of you the season has had you battle all sorts of winter maladies, and you have struggled with various life choices. Nevertheless, as you pursue the Lord He has found a way for you through those wilderness experiences, and has given you renewed hope.
As the warmer weather and sunny days have become more of our new season's host. We are reminded that all things have its times and seasons. Nothing stays the same forever, and even life's perfect winning streak can have its temporary losses. Yet, with faith and perseverance we press toward the Lord with greater vigilance. Acknowledging life's comings and goings, and trusting Him to help us seize the opportunities before us.
Life is not a smooth ride. It has hidden paths, and diverse pathways to follow at times. The way is not always so evident to see, or easy to traverse. Life is not a joy ride! Nonetheless, if we will fix our eyes on Him who has been handpicked for our redemption. We have assurance that if we abide with Him, and follow His direction. We will navigate life's difficulties, we will avoid the enemies land mines, and we will make our way to peaceful pastures to rest in the Lord's grace.
With this message upon my heart, I challenge you to call into the CGMF Prayerline as we continue to meditate upon the care of the Good Shepherd. It's truly amazing how the Good Shepherd know's His sheep, and in our journey of faith touches our lives in so many ways. I know the daily Word will help you prepare for the upcoming season in your life, and give you hope each new day.
To listen in call the CGMF Prayerline at 712-432-8399 and use the Conference number 584684. Then hold to be placed in conference and the message will play.
I pray God's best as you enter this new season. With God's love revealing itself in a very special way. He is the Good Shepherd, and He cares of His sheep.
In His Grace,
Reverend Patrick Vossen

CGMF Special Note
November 6th, 2017
Due to the terrible developments that took place in Texas, and to the ongoing horror of mass shootings in the past few months. My heart has been troubled, with great grief in my soul. For I can't believe as a nation, that we cannot change course and direct our
efforts toward removing this extreme violence. Somewhere within the tenacity of the spirit of this nation is the will to change. To even recognize that our sense of privilege of gun ownership has gone amok, and we have gone well beyond where our forefathers would have imagined. It is in that spirit I share this message of healing and hope for we as believers from the BBC today.
The message I want to share today is from the daily service on the BBC for Nov. 6th, 2017. It calmed my heart and soul after the devastating carnage that has been witnessed at that small Baptist Church in Texas.
Let us keep this church and our nation in our prayers, and determine in our hearts to see relevant changes in the future for
the benefit of all.

CGMF August Monthly Updates
August 20th, 2017
With so many folks on vacation the past few weeks, it has been difficult to keep things organized. LOL. Nevertheless,
here is the latest from the Ministry and Fellowship of CGMF.
We have combined are Authentic Men and Authentic Women classes into one Neighborhood Group each. Now men
and women meet together separately, but at the same location now in smaller groups. Our goal here is that families can stay
together and there will be less disruption. We also will be starting in September our Thru The Bible series on Luke. What
will be new is that we will have prep study beforehand available for each class. This way you get the most out of each
class. Reverend Vossen has designated one of our bible teachers to prepare these prep reviews for us.
Gathering meetings for August were exciting. We had them in two locations. One in Kearney and the other in Omaha.
The worship was lively and the Holy Spirit ministered in a wonderful way in each. Seven folks repented and were
baptized so far this month, and many filled with His Spirit as God moved in these meetings in a tremendous way. Next
month Reverend Vossen will be preaching at the Omaha meeting, and Pastor Jim Harris from Kansas City in our
Gathering in Grand Island.
Please be in prayer for the ministry as are Shepherd Leaders gather next month to map out what God has on
the agenda for the months to come. Also, changes in Reverend Vossen's involvement in the ministry will be discussed.
Reverend Vossen and the Shepherd leaders appointed Skip, Mary and Jeff to handle most of the every day tasks a year
or so ago. Yet, leadership senses a change in direction and we are wanting to see how best to proceed in the year to come.
Grace and Peace to all. Enjoy the remainder of your summer.
David and Laurie McNeil

Belated Updates Continued, LOL.
July 4th, 2017
Well, happy fourth of July! Shocked how we have continued our trend of not posting on the website our monthly Covenant Notes that we share with each Neighborhood Fellowship Group as we organize our studies, worship and fellowship. Oh well, here is hoping we can become more consistent. I know we send off those emails or flyers in the mail, but we have become lazy on those website features. We will try to correct that behavior in the days ahead.
In our Adult Through the Bible study series we have been studying on the Minor Prophets. It has led to some intriguing lessons to say the least. I personally enjoyed our study in Joel a great deal. Exploring past to consider today's Pentecost, or the Latter Rain. It was enjoyable, and the other books are just as good as they offer us so many nuggets of truth.
Our Authentic Men and Authentic Women classes are consistently drawing praise from those who attend. I know the materials
are good, but I think the examples and relational aspects have drawn the most praise. I appreciate the Godly examples we have
within our fellowship for the young and the old.
Our Foundations for Truth Classes continue to offer a firm bedrock for new believers, and we find more and more old timers ( LOL ) coming back for a refresher as well. That is awesome, but also quite helpful for the new believers, as those of us who have come along in our faith, can address some of their questions in a more personal way.
The Shepherd's Trilogy and Study on Intimacy With God continues to see the most people wanting to be a part, or going back to be a part of it again. This series we designed based off the Philip Keller Trilogy on the Good Shepherd and the Lamb of God, has certainly touched more lives than I can dare say. So many folks have received the baptism of the Holy Spirit during those classes. It is amazing.
Well, enjoy your picnics today. Oh by the way, I hope to have some fun news soon. For I have discussed with Bishop Boer the possibility of doing some street Evangelism here in Omaha, He has offered to come here and bring his equipment, and we can then have meetings on the green. I think it would be fantastic, and I hope to bring the idea to the Shepherd Leader this week, then make it happen. Glory to God!
God bless and keep you all, don't eat too much today okay.
In His Mercy,
Sorry For Belated Updates.
April, 6th, 2017
To say we are behind on our updates on the website would be an understatement. Dr. Vossen continues to update teaching
series audios from Job, Ecclesiastes and now the Song of Solomon. However, our Shepherd Group and ministry news notes have not been posted as they should. Our founding Pastor just alerted us to that fact, and I admit I have dropped the ball. I do apologize for that. We have been using email and snail mail so much, that we have not kept up with it. For that we Shepherd Elders apologize. That is why we keep Dr, Vossen around, he is our conscience. LOL.
Our yearly business meeting went well and we also have had some wonderful monthly Gatherings. Our work within our Shepherd Groups continues to grow, yet with some attrition in some areas of operation. Two groups have been assimilated in the Omaha area with Dr. Vossen's group in North Omaha and one in Lincoln as well. The reason being that two of our elders have been led to move onto other areas of ministry within and outside the fellowship.
At our annual business meeting in Omaha we kept our basic officers the same. With Shawn, Pastor Vossen, Skip, Jeff, Mary as well myself as our basic officers. We are truly thankful for everyone's faithfulness. Skip, Mary and Jeff agreed to continue as head counsel to our our Shepherd Groups, and oversee our elder-ship training in general with Bishop Vossen's oversight.
Please don't hesitate to call to be a part of any of our groups outside your normal Neighborhood Group of fellowship and oversight. We have specially designed rotational groups with specific teaching criteria. Here are some you could choose to be a part, or have a refresher in:
Foundational Studies ( Foundations of Truth, The Shepherd Series ( Relationship With God ), Christian Worldview, Authentic Man Series, Authentic Woman Series,
Through The Bible Series ( Each quarter we study a different book )
Charismatic Truths & Lifestyle ( Spirit Filled living and adventures in the Holy Spirit )
The Prophetical Word
I pray God is blessing you, and we look forward to our upcoming Easter fellowship next week. Thank you guys for your patience and grace. I will make sure we keep up with our web page design, and not just leave it to Dr. Vossen. We all will pitch in right? Amen.
In His Grace,
Lincoln Neighborhood Shepherd Coordinator
CGMF News And Updates For January.
January 16th, 2017
I notice we have been neglectful in updating the website except for media. With that in mind I am going to step in and try to fill that void and put pen to paper if you will. I know we have been communicating amongst Shepherd leaders and various groups, but our updating the website has not been very good. I will try to step in and assist Skip, Mary and others in this endeavor today.
Since Thanksgiving it has been quite busy, but there has been some awesome things that have gone on within the fellowship, which I think we need to rejoice in. Also, our endeavors at present and our upcoming yearly Shepherds and Saints meeting to discuss as well.
In December we had two awesome gathering meetings. One in North Platte and the other in Omaha. Reverend James Harris from Kansas City preached in our North Platte meeting on " Faith and Fiction ", it was extremely effective. We had a variety of folks give their life to Christ and seek the baptism of the Holy Spirit. It was a blessed time in the Lord. In Omaha I preached on " Believing When Everything Says Otherwise ". God touched His Word and the worship in such a pronounced way in that meeting. We saw various folks respond to God, and ask for prayer in their current struggles and we baptized 4 individuals as they surrendered their live's to God. It was a profoundly awesome time in the presence of God.
Our study groups for adults have been studying from the book of Genesis in many groups, and continue in our Authentic Christian Men and Woman series in others. Our foundational classes continue as well, as the Foundations for Life, Shepherd Series ( study on our relationship with God ) and Covenant Worldview From the Scriptures are always quarterly revolving.
We will have our Shepherd and Saints meeting in February. We will post that date and where it will be held. You can connect via video or the Prayerline conference number if you can't attend. We are so spread out that I realize 75% can't been in the meeting. That is okay, and we are working to as usual make the logistics work so you can participate or listen in. Amen.
Please keep the ministry in prayer, as we face the new year with questions and will have changes forthcoming. God bless everyone. I will work with the Shepherd leaders to try to be more interactive with the website. Sorry for its neglect.
In His Grace,
Founding Pastor Patrick Vossen

CGMF Prayerline Messages To Begin Again.
July 25th, 2016
After being challenged by many of the Shepherd Leaders of CGMF. I have started up our daily Prayerline message service again. There will be about a ten minute message each day, and some information about the ministry as well. Now this is NOT a perfect science and I will miss some days because of scheduling, but I will work toward keeping up with it. Maybe even asking for some volunteers and friends of the ministry to assist me with it. God bless you all in a special way today. The message today is entitled, ” God Responds To Job “. It is one of the series of lessons I have been teaching from in my study group. You can listen in by calling the CGMF Prayerline at 712-432-8399 ( you will have to enter the conference id of 584684 to listen in ).
Quarterly Updates And Musings.
June 2nd, 2016
We finished up our prophesy series last quarter with the book of Revelation. The others such as Daniel had been studied the previous quarter in some of our Neighborhood Groups. We now are working on Job, Ecclesiastes and Song of Songs. A lot of unique insights and information will be ministered to us from these books. I believe you will be tremendously blest by its contrast to the prophetical books, as they are so practical in nature.
CGMF will shortly start a course that will weave within the fabric of our normal courses of study. It will be from the book, " Heaven on Earth Marriage," by Mack and Brenda Timberlake. It has been used at various times at CGMF as a marriage prep course, or marriage re-encounter course. Ask about details, or becoming a part.
Be in prayer as Reverend Vossen has been travelling quit a bit. Ministering and going to various churches to encourage, or promote Focus Bible College. He seems a little worn out. LOL.
If you have prayer needs, or need any information on anything we are doing with the CGMF family. Just send us a note or call the ministry office.
God richly bless you all,
Skip McNeil and all the Shepherd Leadership Team

May 27th, 2016
We will be relaying to you our quarterly information on studies and Neighborhood Fellowships this weekend. I know many of you will be travelling, so the only way you will get the information is by us posting it. I pray you all have a great and satisfying weekend of relaxation.
In His Grace,

Question On Bi-Annual Report To State.
March 22nd, 2016
I have received questions concerning our bi-annual incorporation report to the State. Various Shepherd Leaders thought we file it this year. It is filed every odd year. Our next renewal will be on January 2017. I am sorry if there was some confusion there, Now any By Law changes, or officer changes we do update on the Nebraska Secretary of State Website each year. I hope that takes care of any questions on the matter.
Blessings to all the family.
Founding Pastor, Patrick Vossen
Fresh News From The SL Team On Groups And Growth.
March 3rd, 2016
There will be some news on various Shepherd Groups forthcoming that will become its own entity or church in the months ahead. It has been determined after much prayer that God wants to allow a separating of the branches in order for growth and revival. With certain ministers and their groups needing to stay together and flourish.
We usually limit our Shepherd Groups to no more than 30 people. At which time we look within time to start and train others for leadership and discern in prayer a new group to be initiated. That part of our usual pattern has been broken from time to time, and that time is now for some. Amen. Sometimes you have to let go in order to see things grow and blossom, or see God's new direction. That is what the Shepherd Leaders have determined after much prayer, and our founding pastor ( Bishop Vossen ) has been more than supportive of this.
It is truly harvestime and we love seeing God do extraordinary things with extraordinary people.
I know it seems in the past year as Bishop Vossen has let go of the reigns of the fellowship and let us all stretch our leadership skills, that his apparent invisibility has been awkward. Yet, he has been there in an advisory role, but has never told or directed us in the past year on what we should do. His trust and confidence in this Shepherd Leadership team he has trained for over 8 years is more than appreciated. Thank God for the enabling power of the Lord.
In His Grace,
Skip, Mary, David, Laurie and all the SL Team
February 2nd, 2016
I pray the CGMF family is safe and well this snowy February 2nd. It looks like we have been blest not to receive the full brunt of the storm in the Omaha area, but I am told at 5pm the snow is going to start again. So each and everyone of you I pray peace and safety.
Monday and Tuesday CGMF Neighborhood Fellowships have all been cancelled throughout the state. So whether your in North Platte, Lincoln or Grand Island or Omaha we will have none in operation. Each of your shepherd leaders should have contacted you by now about this. Those groups will regroup next week, and consolidate their study material accordingly.
New quarterly materials have arrived for some groups whom start a new quarter of study in March. 6-8th graders will have the theme " Conviction, Dependability and Forgiveness ". The Adult Groups in the " Through the Bible " series will focus on the books of Galatians and Ephesians. The materials and themes are exciting, and I believe everyone is going to have a great time in their groups.
Our annual business meeting will be in early March. The announcement of the exact date, time and place will be posted in the next week I believe. For all who can attend, it is usually a lot of fun with a lot of prayer and consideration of vision more than business. Amen.
Please keep me in prayer as I go for a biopsy soon. Health has been good, but the doctor wants some more information concerning some issues I have battled. Everyone be blest and encouraged in Christ. Remember the CGMF staff is always available to you, and we all love you very much.
In His Love,
Founding Pastor Patrick Vossen
January 5th, 2016
We will be updating the news for the upcoming year on the CGMF website shortly. It has been a very busy December, and a lot of struggle getting things organized for our staff. With people in and out, our usual places for Neighborhood Fellowship changed. Folks have had to put up with a lot of flux. January and February should be a little easier.
By the way family, I truly appreciated the special note and plaque each and everyone of you gave me as founding pastor. It was truly a blessing and meant a lot to me.
Stephanie, Bill, Skip, Mary and the McNeil's have all done a nice job trying to keep the CGMF family in the loop despite a lot of holiday crazyness. Thanks guys for your awesome effort.
My neighborhood group will not be using the bible lectionary through the year the next two months. We will be instead studying on " Spiritual Maturity ", with a series I have taught through the years from Jamie Buckingham. Its not easy getting the materials, as I have given a lot of what I have away. Nevertheless, I have a basic book and workbooks still left we can work from. It has always been a revelatory series of lessons in the past.
In His Grace,
Founding Pastor Patrick Vossen
November 16th, 2015
CGMF continues with the changes that have taken place organizationally. The dramas have been great fun for many and our ministry teams better organized than ever. Be aware there might be some Neighborhood Bible Fellowship locational changes come January though, as we start in on some new quarterly series teaching.
Brother Vossen will continue to teach on a new yearly cycle of lessons in His Neighborhood Group, plus teaching a few other classes from the book of Psalms in our Thru The Bible Adult series. He has been pretty busy, and with his responsibilities at FBC we count it fortunate to have him as much a part as we do.
In December we hope to have some visiting ministry in our Monthly Gathering Meetings. They will be in North Platte, Lincoln and Omaha. We pray the Holy Spirit to help us in bringing this all together. We are waiting for confirmation from our guest speaker. As soon as possible we will announce them, and the location of each meeting.
A new weekly message will be posted on our website. It will be a new set of timely exhortations from Reverend Vossen called, Living Bread For The Soul. We pray it will be a blessing to each and every one of you.
In His Service,
David and Laurie McNeil, ( Transitional Ministry Coordinators )
September Ministry News
Sept. 18th, 2015
The year is sure moving along quickly, and the fresh fall breeze is in the air. I know many of us didn't want the summer to end, but the fact that school has started has certainly reminded us of new schedules for us all. With calendars changing, and kids working on homework at night, etc... That has not gone without notice for us here at CGMF, and we are hoping that many of you are enjoying some of the changes that have transpired.
Some of our fellowship's changes we hope you are enjoying starting this month.
1. New geographical realignment in fellowship groups. With less travel, and less group rotation. Allowing Shepherd Leaders to move about, and you not having to do so quarterly.
2. Added or revised courses of discipleship. Our founding pastor worked hard with our Shepherd Leaders to enhance or redevelop some of our courses of study, even the design of its presentation. It is our prayer this has been refreshing to many of you.
3. " Bible Come To Life Dramas " once a month. Here we are going to be dealing with " LIFE Challenges ", and our first drama was on " Building My Bethel ". It was about the vital importance of developing your own personal altar. Here we saw the reflection of some Old Testament Characters come alive. I think we all had a real experience with God after this drama. The presence of God, and the effect of this presentation spoke for itself.
( Unfortunately for now this can only available in the Omaha Fellowship area. All are welcome though. )
There will be more new developments as the year unfolds, but we are thankful for what Jesus is doing in our midst. Please pray for our transitional staff, as there has been a variety of leadership changes, as Pastor Vossen takes upon new challenges at FBC and his personal ministry.
By the way, many of you have been asking for the cd of the message by Dr. Vossen on " Get UP! God's Not Finished Yet. " It is being edited and will be made available shortly. Call the office or send us note if you'd like a copy.
Please be in prayer as God continues to unveil to us His will and purposes. Be blest in your Neighborhood Fellowship Groups, and let us all pray for the Whole Body of Christ, as we enter into this final chapter of 2015.
In Grace and Love,
David and Laurie McNeil, ( Transitional Ministry Coordinators )
CGMF Changes And New Quarterly Studies.
August 12, 2015
It’s August already? Well, the summer is ending soon, but so much has been accomplished. However, none of our efforts could have been undertaken without the voluntary efforts of so many people. I tell you we have found some hidden talent in a few really remarkable people. Thanks so much for revealing the gifts God has placed in many of you. Gifts of hospitality, music, teaching, art, etc.., it was awesome! Thanks CGMF members and friends for your stalwart efforts. For we had so many Shepherd Leaders and regular volunteers on vacation, and we needed all hands on deck. Great work guys and gals.
In September we will be rotating some folks in various Shepherd Groups where possible geographically where necessary. In addition to our regular discipleship changes, with advancement and growth of our family in Christ. This is always necessary, plus with the loss of many folks to three pioneering works. More experienced teachers and ministers are fewer to be had. Bear with us in this transitional period.
Here is the breakdown for the upcoming quarter of studies, vision and plan.
Our adults will be studying a new quarterly series from the Book of Mark, in addition to our Authentic Christian Man or Woman series. Pastor Vossen will also be teaching again a yearly Revised Lectionary of Studies from the Word in his group and a new Advanced Covenant Theological Training Curriculum which will begin for Bible Students and Ministers in October. Other churches have asked to be a part of that ministry, so be in prayer as it is developing quickly.
Teens will be embarking on a new series called God, Me And My Crazy World. It is designed to help teens in handling their preparation toward adulthood, and having a balanced set of values. It also will assist them in keeping steady in their relationship in Christ despite the confusion at times in this ever changing world.
12 and under will be starting a courses designed for their age group. Broken into three year age cycles of four. With Foundations of Faith And Other Religions, Living the Life of Christ, with an additional kids version of Covenant Worldview broken down for younger students, which is being adapted from Pastor Vossen’s study to Adults.
For new converts or young Christians there will be The Foundations Course, The Shepherd Series and Covenant Worldview, along with Living the Life of Christ broken into 4 quarters. We believe after much prayer and consideration these courses within our Discipleship program led by its Shepherd Leaders will have profound results.
Our vision is divesting a bit. With less Shepherd Neighborhood Groups planned and more home missions planting in the future. This is coming about as many of our ministers have been with CGMF for years, and now are ready to proceed toward their next level of development and calling in Christ. Also, leadership has found the geographical differences have been hard to organize between North Platte to Omaha. Change and flexibility is inevitable, so pray as we adapt to the hand God has given us to play for His Kingdom.
Pastor is teaching some and overseeing, but is not involved much in day to day operations. He has other ministry work, and has a vision for expansion of Focus Bible College, as well a possible new work of his own ( Lord, does the man realize he’s getting old. Oops, sorry pastor. We all love you. ). Skip and Mary are also finding they are not able to do what they have as coordinators, so it’s up to all of us to lift them up, and take up the mantle of the Lord. Let’s do so with joy in anticipation of God’s best in the year to come.
Just to let you know Plan One of new structural development of leadership and groups will be fully employed by January 1st of 2016. Each month we will advise you of its nature, God’s direction and Vision. Be in prayer as God works His will in our midst. We will do our best to make this transition simple as possible. Thanks again for the volunteers from our church family, as well those outside our walls. Your efforts have not gone unnoticed.
Blessings to all in your preparation toward a new school year.
In His Love and Grace,
David and Laurie McNeil, West Omaha Shepherd Leaders ( transitional ministry coordinators )
CGMF Summer Transition Updates.
June 14th, 2015
We appreciate everyone's dedication and hard work the past few weeks. As we have rolled out some new studies, and participated in a newly designed communion service in our monthly " Gatherings ", it has been a blessing of the Lord.
May was a whirlwind of a month with a lot of activities and family responsibilities. With graduates and the yearly Full Gospel Restoration Ministers and Churches conference in Branson, Missouri all a part of it.
Here are some of the highlights. We started new studies on Ezekiel and Daniel to follow up on our previous study on the Book of Revelation in 4 groups. Two groups began the Authentic Men series and one Authentic Women. We also saw the middle grades start new programs, as well the teens. The Rock series of studies for both jr. high and sr. high students has led to a lot of discussion. This series from David C. Cook we have modified to various age groups with special discussion points, as well new activities. Our Foundations course has one class with 10 newborn's in Christ ( amen! ). Our founder Dr. Vossen is teaching a One Year Series on the Common Lectionary Series, it has been well received and enjoyed by many. Overall, it has been a great start for the new quarter.
Ten folks have accepted Christ and repented in the past month. Three believers baptized and numerous folks received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit in our monthly Gathering meeting. At our monthly Gathering meeting, Dr. Vossen preached an especially anointed message on " When Fear Arrives At The Door, Don't Let It In ". Where he used a variety of scriptural passages that reminded us of old and new testament individuals, and their success or failure dealing with fear.
Dr. Vossen preached and handed out degrees at the FGRMC conference, and preached a message we were told touched many lives. It has indeed been an extraordinary month for us all. He had a meeting with more than half of us Neighborhood Fellowship leaders, and wanted us all to pray about becoming a part of FGRMC. His excitement at this time about the fellowship is easy to see. LOL.
Skip and Mary will be out of town for two weeks. Dr. Vossen, Jeff Combs and David McMann will be your contact personnel at this time. You can either email the office at email@example.com, or call the office at either 646-926-0401 or 402-305-5345.
Keep the ministry in prayer and thank you for everyone's love and support.
In His Mercy,
Extraordinary Easter Service!
April 9th, 2015
To say we were blest this past Sunday is an understatement. Sunday we gathered together some of our CGMF Neighborhood Fellowship Groups for a special Easter event and it was nothing but glorious.
We had wonderful worship and song, with Pastor Vossen singing " Rise Again " with The Faith. It was a powerfully anointed song touching so many hearts. Then we had a traditional communion in full Anglican format, LOL. It was truly an amazing time together. After communion we had prayer for the sick and the needy. Finally, the Word came forth and Pastor Vossen preached on " How to Survive And Overcome the Judas Kiss ". The work God did on peoples heart's was tremendous under His anointing. Six or more gave their hearts to God, many desired to be baptized and how many received the baptism of the Spirit. Well, we are not sure of at this point. It was like Azusa Street in Omaha.
I pray you all will continue to take that anointing with you into your Neighborhood studies. Remembering not to get stuck on " What Happened ", but on " What God Is Continuing to do ".
Blessings In Christ,
Shepherd Leader, Bellevue
Roll-out Of Our New Bible Study Groups For The New Quarter And Other News.
March 10, 2015
We have started our new quarterly series of studies for Middle School and Adult fellowship groups. They have both been well received. In my particular fellowship group we continue to teach on our yearly studies from the Common Lectionary. Our transitional groups are studying our Foundational and Shepherd series studies. I hope you all are enjoying it, and if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask.
I think our Revelation series is our first in a couple of years. Jeff and Skip are teaching classes on this study material. I will interject with two lessons on the various views on the Rapture, Tribulation and other subject matter which has evolved in church apocalyptic teaching throughout the centuries.
We appreciate your prayers and fellowship all. Love you all so very much.
Simpler Website Address And Donation Button.
January 23rd, 2014
Two quick notes of interest for all CGMF members and friends of the ministry.
CGMF has a new web address and as well a donation feature on the website now. Our new web address is cgmfinc.com, the previous web address still functions properly. However, you now have a more simplified address to remember when contacting the ministry. In addition we have added a new donation feature through PayPal as well. Given the day we live in it has become apparent to our Shepherd Leaders that this feature needed to be added for your personal convenience, so now you only have to click the Donate button on the top menu to give to the ministry of CGMF.
Other new features will be forthcoming, along with a new audio series this next year. It seems everyone enjoyed last year's series on the Blood of Jesus a great deal. That being the case, Reverend Vossen will be embarking on a new series in 2015 that we hope will be as much a blessing as the previous.
We appreciate your prayers and support. CGMF is there for you, and if you need us in any way please don't hesitate to contact the ministry office. God Bless you all in His Precious Name.
Great Fellowship And Hope And Refuge
December 22nd, 2014
We had some great fun with our friends at Hope and Refuge in Omaha this past week. Pastor Bryant and his church family couldn't have been more friendly. The worship was truly exhilarating and Pastor Bryant preached an awesome Christmas message on, " The Gift That Keeps On Giving. " Where he truly challenged us to picture the Cross instead of the traditional Christmas tree this holiday season. Then remember that Jesus is the Gift that keeps on giving, as God continues to give His free gift of salvation through faith in His precious name.
The word was dramatic and effective, and we all were touched by the wonderful outpouring of God's Spirit at the altar. Hearts were touched in an extraordinary way. It was a day to rejoice! I for one was truly thankful that we could be a part of such a wonderful day of fellowship with friends in Christ. Thank you Pastor Bryant and Hope and Refuge for making us feel so at home.
CGMF Quarterly Changes Upcoming.
November 7th, 2014
Thanks for allowing me to get away to Illinois last weekend. Adam and I ( his father missed him a lot, its boring without him around. LOL ), had a wonderful time together, as we enjoyed the Founder's Day Weekend festivities at the home church at Christ Community Church in Ottawa. Sr. Pastor John Nordstrom Jr. and the whole staff were just so gracious to all in attendance.
I was able to promote to a couple of local pastors, and others from out of town. Our work at Focus Bible College, and the blessing it could be to many of them in their local churches. We discussed a variety of ways we could work with them to establish satellite campuses. Or, to help train their local ministers in their churches. I am excited about the seeds sown for the Kingdom of God there. A few of the pastors were more interested in how we built the ministry on the local church level through the Shepherd Leader-Home Fellowship concept. I invited of couple of them to come to Omaha and see how we organize things between here. Maybe we can be a blessing to some of our brothers and sisters far, far away.
Now for the Quarterly changes. We will be starting in the Thru The Bible home groups the books of Ezra, Nehemiah and Esther. I also will be continuing along with Skip on our new yearly bible plan. Which is very much so likened unto the liturgical year cycle in the Episcopal Church. Its been a fun experience teaching it in this fashion. Yet, I know I deviate from the norm quite a bit. Hey, you have to go where the Spirit is leading, Amen! We also are going to add a portion of another series to our Authentic Man and Authentic Woman studies. Using some new material to address some areas of interest we think need to be explored. We have used one curriculem from Charles Simpson and the other from Sister Brenda that was developed. It has been a powerful series for both the teens and adults. We have seen wives and husbands really communicating a good word on it. I also will be using in January some of the DISC Personality Profiles on biblical themes that might intrigue you. I use the system in some of my counseling, and think we can adapt it for more intimate understanding of partners, as well one another.
Well, be in prayer as we move forward. Your pastor takes over as President of Focus Bible College come January 1st. Pray for me as I will have a bit of a learning curve taking over for Bishop Tice who has been handling the school since 1986. Your patience with me not being available as much as I have, is also appreciated. Remember it doesn't mean Reverend Vossen doesn't love you. LOL. Take care, have a great weekend in the Lord's presence.
Blessings CGMF Family,
Legal Status And Transfer Of Focus Bible College In Florida Secured.
October 5th, 2014
We are thankful to the Lord that our college's Florida validation is secured. Our letter of verification is in order, and we are going to be able to grant degrees out of our Florida satellite campus in the Orlando area. The offices in Texarkana, Arkansas will be closed shortly, as we are all set to proceed out of our Florida offices.
We will give you more details of this procedure and our forward moving progress as the days go on. However, for students and faculty members it will not be a significant change, as we already have been functioning out of Orlando for awhile. Legally though this will grant us the ability to grant degrees out of Florida, and expand our curriculum base, degree levels, etc.. This is an exciting time for the school and for all the FBC family.
I want to thank Dr.'s Orvil and Betsy Tice for their relentless work in getting all the paperwork together. Making all this possible, along with the assistance of the Council of Elders of FGRMC. Thank God we are making this transition, its going to help us as we continue to expand into the future. Allowing for greater student growth and elasticity in the years to come. God bless all of are partners, friends and our students for their support.
In His Grace,
Dr. Patrick Vossen
Vice President, Focus Bible College
New Quarterly Cycle Under Way At The Ministry.
Sept. 9th, 2014
CGMF has started a new quarter of classes and Neighborhood Fellowship Groups. Some have made rotational changes, and others are still in the same groups they have had all year in our Thru The Bible Program series. We are currently studying Philippians & Colossians in those studies. You should be on lesson two, " Paul's Optimism in Prison " in those studies. One new class and series has started. This will be a one year course, which I will be taking over this week. We are using David C. Cook's Essential Study Companion Commentary and will be studying from Hebrews 1:1-7, 13 on the subject of The Promise of Restoration. If you haven't received a study guide, or would like one. Please inform the ministry either through email or call us. I will detour from the lesson series periodically ( you folks are used to that, LOL ). However, it will be a unique and fun series for the year.
Our study Groups Include for the Quarter
1. The Foundations Course
2. The Shepherd And His Sheep ( From the Phillip Keller Trilogy )
3. The Foundations Course Expanded with Derek Prince's Self Bible Study exegesis and and other materials.
4. Authentic Men Series
5. Authentic Women Series
6. Covenant Worldview, a study for those who have finished the two foundation courses.
7. Thru The Bible Series
8. The new Year In A View series I am using in my personal Neighborhood Group.
Please double check to make sure you are where you need to be in your classes and locations.
We had a great monthly Gathering in Augusts. Seven came to know the Lord, we had four receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit
and three water baptized. It was a lot of fun with lots of wonderful folks worshiping God. Thanks for your all coming out last month our Eastern Zone Gathering. Skip and Mary will give you details later on the Western Zone Gathering out in the Kearney area last month.
God Bless You All CGMF family,
Talk About A Summer That Is Flying By!!!! Nevertheless, What A Summer We Have Had In His Word.
August 19th, 2014
Proverbs 20:9-11 CEB
9 Who can say, "I’m innocent to the core;I’m cleansed from my sin"? 10 False weights and measures--the Lord detests them both. 11 Even young people are known by their actions, whether their conduct is pure and upright.
The last quarter my ( Reverend Vossen's ) neighbourhood fellowship group along with some others, have embarked on a wonderful journey into the book of Proverbs. The gems we have discovered, as well the truths we have unearthed have been of precious gold. I for one am going to be kind of sad when we move on from the book, because it has helped me and challenged me like no other study we have had in a long time. It has hit a variety of real close to home issues in my life, and has made us all reassess what we truly considered Godly wisdom.
Many of us for instance, have found that we've been mining fool's gold ( remember that lesson folks!!!! ) as we have cherished our hollow doctrinal badges we have stuck to like a noose around our neck. Choking the very breath of God out of us, as we keep on proclaiming " Hey, but I'm in " The Club " ( the right Church, or the assembly who preaches " The Truth " ). While we deceive ourselves and justify our inappropriate actions, because we had " The Truth ". Believing that if I am somehow in " The Club ", I'm in the sheepfold of Christ and have some magical flag I can wave that can excuses me from every sin, or act arrogance in my life.
We looked at biblical characters whose lives fell into this trap, as well personal life experiences this pastor has seen throughout the years. It brought tears to our cheeks and renewed hope that repentance and humility, could bring about a great spiritual change. Bringing to revival that could see the power of God express itself in a supernatural way. Not needing superficial promptings, but holy and practical spiritual yearning from
the heart of man.
Proverbs taught us the importance of humility and how the spirit of God could make its mark in the life of man. True wisdom can bring us true humility ( 11:2 CEB ), which in turn will allow the lamp of the Lord to shine upon the inner depths of our hearts ( 20:27 ). Let us pray that we will not forget these lessons, and believe God that a spiritual awakening has not just begun in us, but in the Whole Body of Christ as well.
What A Wonderful Time In The Word, And In His Presence.
July 6th, 2014
I just wanted to thank those whom were in my Neighborhood Fellowship Group today. Your allowing me to just minister from the heart the Word, then just patiently worshiping afterwards, brought us closer to heaven than I have felt in years. I felt like I crawled out of the shadows into His presence in such a personal way. I know many of you did as well ( as many of you gave me your personal insights ). I thank the Lord that He allows opportunities like these every once in awhile, that go well beyond the norm into something extraordinary. I felt like I was on the mount of transfiguration. Thanks folks, it was a blast.
Sign Up For New Studies.
June 30th, 2014
A couple of our Neighborhood Fellowship Groups are finishing there cycle of lessons on 1 & 2 Chronicles, as well as others the Book of James. Some of these groups will move into a study from the Book of Proverbs which Reverend Vossen will teach. Or, are considering a refresher on " The Shepherd's Trilogy " or " Christ in Session ". Please let us know at the office or give your Neighborhood Shepherd input on your preferences.
Next month in our Gathering for the Omaha area, Reverend Vossen will be ministering after worship. He wants you to give him any questions you have on related subjects from the studies you have taken. He is going to incorporate answers to those questions into a message he will deliver that night. You may call the office or email us with anything you might deem appropriate.
God bless you all, attendance and such at our Fellowship Groups usually fall a bit during the summer, but from what we can gather all is well. We are a little down in the North Platte area, but Reverend Vossen hopes to go out there and encourage the faithful in that area in the near future.
For that is where he first felt the burden for CGMF, and its birth sprung forth from that locale. With that in mind, the work there is never far from his heart.
Hope you all are having a fun Summer.
A Special E-Book Promo From Chosen Books. One Day Sale.
June 8th, 2014
Chosen Books a division of Baker has had a couple of nice free downloads of late. There is a special one for today only ( the 8th ).
Its " Husbands and Fathers " by Reverend Derek Prince.
A Wonderful Past Week Of Fellowship And Busy Work.
We had a wonderful time at Kim Roberts ordination last week at St. Martin of Tours. The church was packed and I had the privilege to serve communion with Kim in her duty as new pastor of St. Martin of Tours. It was a grand time with friends, and a lot of new acquaintances.
This next week I will be handling services for Kim as she is out of town, and our regular Neighborhood Bible Study Group that I personally shepherd, will be having its meeting Sunday night instead. Please take note of that if you will, especially if your in my particular group.
I have begun to take up the duties of Vice President of FBC and am working with Dr. Tice to learn the ropes, as by January I will be taking over his duties as President of the school. You will notice we have a mirror of the FBC Forum on our ministry website. Please take the time to register and join in. Various subjects and some school information will be forthcoming in the days ahead.
Reverend Vossen Takes On New Responsibilities.
April 9th, 2014
Reverend Vossen has been asked By Dr. Orvil Tice of FGRMC to be part of the Council of Elders of the FGRMC. He has accepted that place on the Council with respect to his Bishop's request. In addition to this new assignment, he will be taking upon the role as Vice President of the fellowship's bible college ( Focus Bible College ), and will assist in its transition. Then in a couple months time will be taking over its reigns from Dr. Tice when the transition is complete. It is Reverend Vossen's prayer that he can help the school reach toward even greater excellence in the years to come. Building upon the wonderful foundation of Dr. Orvil and Betsy Tice. They have been the leaders and founders of the school since its infancy in 1987. By the way, the school will be changing its location from Texarkana, Arkansas to Florida within the next few months. That is going to bring with it a variety of challenges, so please be in prayer for wisdom during this season of change.
It is Reverend Vossen's desire that in the next few years we will see an expanding bible school, with wonderful participation, growth and financial stability. Please pray for the school, and if you would like to become a part. We ask that you contact the ministry here at CGMF or Focus Bible College and do just that. Get involved!
Working On The CGMF Quick Quizzes.
March 2nd, 2014
CGMF ministry's Quick Quiz for chapter 17 is available at this time for your study. We are endeavouring to post and scan all the quizzes to the site. In addition later this week, we will begin to update our new study from 1 Chronicles. Our current goal for this year is to study chapter by chapter 1& 2 Chronicles, along with 1 & 2 Kings. That being the case, we would like to have corresponding Quick Quizzes with these studies as we have had in the past year.
I was advised of an issue with some quizzes not being shared publicly, but that has been corrected today. In the midst of our updating our system recently, I might have missed a few items. Sorry guys and gals.
Looking Into 2014 With Great Anticipation.
December 13th, 2013
We are beginning to plan for the following year and we are looking forward to some great changes. However, we also are a little anxious about the changes that will take place as well. Your prayers and participation in bringing about a smooth transition will be of great benefit to us all.
Here is a short list of the emphasis that will be taking place structurally within the next year at CGMF.
1. Neighborhood Groups will be better aligned geographically where possible.
2. Reverend Vossen, Reverend McNeil and other shepherd-leaders will overlap more frequently to assist in the growth and development of each Neighborhood Fellowship. This will help Encourage covenant relationships and further growth in our Christian walk.
3. The School Of Faith will be given greater attention so that supplemental education and course work will be made available online. With a more expansive approach of support for each type of study group being mentored within the framework of CGMF's system of Neighborhood Bible Fellowship Groups.
4. Better organization for regional support for fellowship with one another and within the Body of Christ.
5. Our core discipleship program will stay in place, but be updated where necessary. Also a complimentary course of expanded education within the Foundations Studies will be made with new materials from CSM Ministries.
6. Once a month Gathering's in certain locales will also give rise to Quarterly Mini-Campmeetings with guest speakers, or shepherd-leaders ministering.
These are part of the items we have discussed as primary. We also are concerned about our stewardship, for even though we are not a formal church in an institutional sense. We still have financial goals we'd like to see developed and ministry to sister works. It has become apparent that our utilizing periodic renting of facilities or home groups has given way to a lack of apparent financial involvement. For there is no consistent NEED for paying for a permanent office or facility.
After a survey of stewardship was taken in some of our more mature groups. We found that because none of our ministers take stipend, and that Reverend Vossen and Reverend McNeil have always volunteered their services. The necessity is not seen by many to give to CGMF, even if their basic Christian fellowhip is only within it parameters of influence. They might tithe to another church, or even a ministry friendly with CGMF. However, CGMF is not their first thought. This is of concern to some of our eldership and we hope to address it in the year to come.
We hope you are enjoying the Christmas season. Remember to place these aforementioned items of emphasis we mentioned in prayer for the upcoming year. Our hope is that 2014 will be not just our greatest year of growth, but influence and ministry to the whole Body of Christ as well.
Today's Message and Ministry News.
November 17th, 2013
We have uploaded Reverend Vossen's message from this Sunday. It its called, " Insight and Wisdom ". He preached the message both at St. Martin of Tours and in his local Neighborhood Fellowship Group. Our hope is it will encourage you and challenge you as well.
Our Book of John Review Tests will be updated this week. With two more chapter review tests available by Friday at the latest.
In addition, I am told work is being done to get the forums more active, as Reverend Vossen is trying to spend some time to get the software in order to start truly making an active group of teachers and students available for discussion groups. It should be an exciting place to interact with ideas, information and biblical study.
There is a new Neighborhood Fellowship Group that will be opening up off West Maple Street near St. Vincent de Paul. We hope some of you who live in that area would let us know if you like to be involved in that study. It should be an exciting time, as Reverend Vossen plans on hosting it for at least a few months. He hopes to encourage its growth and foundational development in the area.
God bless you all this upcoming week.
CGMF Prayerline Daily Messages Start Again.
October 29th, 2013
A couple of days ago we started up again the daily CGMF Prayerline. Until the end of Dec. 2013 we will be using the Derek Prince Yearly Devotional, Declaring God's Word for our foundation of meditation and prayer. Our hope is you will be blest and inspired by each day's message presented by Reverend Vossen. You will be able to listen to them on the CGMF Prayerline Service at 712-432-8399 ( remember when you call you will be prompted for a conference code. The number is 584684 ), or on our main homepage daily. If you miss a message they will be hosted on our archives page as well on the website. God bless you today.
All Host Files Transferred.
Sept. 20th, 2013
We have transferred all the files necessary for audio and other links to the host servers here at Weebly. They also are backed up on our backup drive as well at the the office.
My personal blog at patrickvossen.com is still being worked on in transition with Xanga's moving its entire service to a Wordpress platform. The blog is up, but the personal url at patrickvossen.com is not funcioning as of yet. You have to use the old url at pdvossen.xanga.com. I don't know how soon that will be rectified.
Anyways I am happy that we've got one issue resolved, its nice that we no longer have to worry about broken links or exterior sites for our audio or video ( Unless we prefer YouTube for video ).
CGMF members I'm sorry there are so many broken links to various files you use in our bible studies. I will be working to see that they are resolved.
Be patient. This to shall pass.

Physical Update On Reverend Vossen's Vision. Trusting In Christ For His Healing Grace.
August 8th, 2013
I am thankful to God that I am doing as well as I can with the double vision. I had hoped miraculously that the prism glasses would turn the trick, but not quite. I trust in His Grace though that His Healing mercy will see me through
I have a new lens for the left eye being tried on Saturday in another attempt to correct this double vision. Wish me luck. Also going to have another MRI with a neurologist double checking any possible damage from the car accident awhile back. My doctor feels I need it. We will see what happens. Thanks for your prayers everyone.
I am very behind in all my correspondences and notes on the ministry website etc.. Thanks for your patience. Skip and Mary are trying to help me catch up.
We Are Expanding And Bringing Online Full Functionality to the School of Faith Discussion Forums.
July 21st, 2013
We hesitated to bring much attention to the School of Faith Discussion forum, because it was a vehicle some used in a very abusive fashion who were not a part of the ministry in the past. We believe we have " control " of its software content, and that it is secure for website visitors to use. The software in place should allow for lively discussions on a variety of subjects. Yet, make it a family friendly place as well. Its simple to sign up and jump in. Check it out, its on the " more... " section of the website at the " School of Faith Discussions " tab.
Changes, Upgrades and CGMF News For July.
July 7th, 2013
I know a lot of you have been on vacation, and we have had a hectic last few weeks. Updates other than fixing the School of Faith archives, is just about all we've been able to accomplish online. Our home fellowships are operating as normal, but consolidating in some locations.
This week online we will have two items we will be paying attention to. One, editing and uploading part 4 and 5 of our Christ in Session teaching series. Which has been very well received in our midweek groups. Two, we are trying to upload full files instead of links to many of our audio messages on our ministry archives page. The reason for this is that Xanga, which has hosted these for the past five years is revamping its company or will not be operational after the 15th. From what we have been told they are making the transition to a new service, but our link locations could change. That being the case we are not taking any chances and are working on uploading full audio files onto our archive page. That is proving more difficult than once thought. Nevertheless, we are working on it and progress is being made.
In our home fellowships we are consolidating some groups for better organization. As we have split up some of our groups for a men's only study series on The Authentic Man. CSM Ministries has given us new cd's that didn't have the bad recordings we had previous. They are much better for our use in the study as a whole. I can't wait to see the fruit from that series. A lot of guys are looking much differently at their marriages, relationships, etc.. The mothers and wives I have talked to have been ecstatic about the series so far. LOL.
Keep all this in your prayers. Have a great week folks.
Men Being Godly Men. An Important Series CGMF Is Undertaking.
June 12th, 2013
We are beginning a new series for men of all ages. Its is a three part series of discussion based off the audio series by Reverend Charles Simpson called, " The Authentic Kingdom Man ". We hope that you will contact the ministry to obtain information concerning the bible study groups that will be hosting these sessions.
Reverend Vossen and our Shepherd Leaders truly feel a need to address the need to develop and encourage Fatherhood, and Men in general in their Christian development. Its such a difficult world we live in and the church is becoming paralyzed by the fact that men don't know how, or are not being able to be Godly leaders in their homes. Our prayer is that this three part series can help in getting us all on track.
Contact the ministry at firstname.lastname@example.org. Or, call us at 646-926-0401.
